JWZ designed the Master Plan for this 371-acre park in the northwest Las Vegas Valley.  Foremost in importance was preserving, restoring, and protecting the integrity of Lone Mountain itself.  Eleven different areas have been created, with the landmark “Children’s Discovery Park” in Area 2 being implemented to great acclaim from all local residents and user groups.

This project was highly scrutinized and involved many public meetings where invaluable citizen input was achieved.  Public involvement helped streamline the design process, while producing a Master Plan that met the expressed needs and desires of the residents of the immediate area – as well as those regional park users that now come from all over the valley to enjoy this spectacular facility.
