The library in North Las Vegas is well suited for this site that is adjacent to the Aliante Nature Discovery Park. The initial site was a rolling setting with various arroyos and sparse native vegetation. Architecturally, the library has a strong circular portion of the building. This large arc afforded the opportunity of extending this strong design element into the landscape. An outdoor classroom or sitting area was being developed by creating concentric circles radiating out from this curved portion of the building.

This area is secured and not accessible from the outside providing a safe exterior space. The landscape for this facility is sustainable, water efficient and appropriate for our Mojave Desert while providing seasonal color, precious shade and interesting textures. It is appropriate for the site and compliments the architecture of the building.
