Lorenzi Park is one of the oldest recreation sites in the Las Vegas valley. The site has been used for a wide variety of purposes from public recreation to ranch with orchards. JW Zunino renovated the historic western portion of the site, which contains the urban lake and many buildings listed on the State of Nevada historic registry.

This renovation included the creation of a green open park space on a current asphalt parking lot, renovation of the lake to create a natural appearance with aquatic plantings and improved fish and wildlife habitats. Additionally, JWZ worked with representatives of the City of Las Vegas Historic Preservation Committee in recreating some of the vast history of the facility over the last 80 years, including a replica of a band shell on the southern lake island, picnic shelter areas recreated with themed stone facades and play areas replicating the built history of the site.
