Whitney Mesa Recreation Area – Earns Award

The Whitney Mesa Recreation Area has been selected to earn the 2016 Elmer H. Anderson Park Excellence Award.  This award is in recognition of the outstanding efforts in the field of park planing, design and development in the state of Nevada.  This award is specifically for the BMX area at Whitney Mesa, which was a much needed feature to the Valley.

Whitney Mesa Recreation Area comprises of 30 acres of developed amenities, including over 2 miles of multi-use trails, nature walks, basketball courts, bocce courts, BMX track, and Native American themed play amenities.  For more information on the park visit the Whitney Mesa Recreation Area page.
